Being a Light in Everyday Actions & a Poem
Lately, a thought has been weighing on my heart, and it can be summed up in two simple words: Use me. In every situation and every moment, my prayer is that God would use me to reflect His light and point others toward Christ. Whether through my writing, my interactions with others, or in the quiet, unseen parts of my life, my hope is that He’s always at work in my heart, preparing me to further the gospel. Sometimes, that doesn’t mean openly sharing my faith; it might just be through small acts of kindness—being a compassionate friend, offering a smile when I don’t feel like it, or speaking with grace and patience. The good news often spreads in the smallest, everyday moments.
Dear reader my hope is that you, too, would be striving to live a life honoring Christ; and that your daily life would reflect your love for Christ and the joy you find in Him. You don’t need to be in the perfect set of circumstances, and that’s the beauty of the gospel—young or old, extroverted, introverted, it’s something we can all share with others, and sometimes all it takes is having the mindset of “Use Me.”
“Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
