Always working on sharpening my editing skills ๐Ÿ“–โœ๏ธ Always working on sharpening my editing skills ๐Ÿ“–โœ๏ธ Right now Iโ€™m working through The Copyeditorโ€™s Handbookโ€”basically the behind-the-scenes guide that helps turn good writing into polished, professional content. I originally used this book while earning my EFA Certificate in Proofreading and Copyediting with The Chicago Manual of Style, and itโ€™s still incredibly helpful. Copyediting isnโ€™t just about catching typos. Itโ€™s about: โ€ข Clarity (does this actually make sense?) โ€ข Consistency (are we saying things the same way throughout?) โ€ข Flow (does it read smoothly?) I truly believe learning never stopsโ€”even in your chosen field. Thereโ€™s always something new to practice, refine, and revisit. Continuously learning and applying these skills sharpens how I approach writingโ€”for my work, my clients, and my own projects.
